This is a presentation of a “Doctor of Analogy” diploma from “Hope Chapel Evangelism University” given to Ray Comfort before he spoke to us last Sunday night. We gave him this because his illustrations explain very clearly why we need to reach the lost and why we need to use the 10 Commandments [...]

Ray Comfort spoke at Hope Chapel last night to a full house. It was a very encouraging and convicting talk called “Militant Evangelism.” If you missed it, listen to it here for free. Scroll on down to #13…and enjoy!

This is an account from a high school girl, Micah Mounts, who went on a mission to New Orleans last week:
My first million dollar bill story! While shopping in the French Quarter on the last day of our missions trip in New Orleans, Courtney, Anais, and I got separated from the group. We [...]

There were two men who owned restaurants. The name of one of the men was Evan. His restaurant was situated at the top of a high hill. Admittedly, it was hard to get to, but the cuisine was well worth it. His customers were full of praise for him, even saying his food [...]

I had a great interview with Brother Lawrence Harms, one of the monks at the monastery my wife and I visited. After I get it transcribed, you will be able to read it here—it was a very encouraging interview. I will also be writing about my other experiences up there, including my rattlesnake bite, [...]

I spoke to a young woman from our church last week. She had something that was pressing on her mind and just had to tell me:
A few months ago I wrote about how I handed out million-dollar bill gospel tracts after a showing of The Da Vinci Code (See Fun w/Millions: Da Vinci Dollars). [...]

I gave my testimony a few years back and want to post it now to show you the incredible power and grace of the living God.
In a nutshell, I was a meth addict selling stereos out of the back of my car in the desert when I challenged Satan to show himself; I [...]

On July 23, I had about 60 people over to the house to enjoy pizza, pray, and walk on down to the Redondo Pier to experience first-hand the thrill of handing out Gospel tracts and sharing Christ with strangers. This was in the middle of the California heatwave, but we were all on-fire to warn [...]

What are the punishments of sin in the world to come?
Answer: The punishments of sin in the world to come, are everlasting separation from the comfortable presence of God, and most grievous torments in soul and body, without intermission, in hell fire forever.

Only one person alive knows what happened on the treacherous steps of Inspiration Point in Rancho Palos Verdes on the afternoon of of Nov. 8, 2000.
That’s when 4-year-old Lauren Key of Huntington Beach was hiking with her father, Cameron Brown, and plunged off a 120-foot cliff to her death on the rocks below.
Did her father, [...]

One of our Associate Pastors, Mike Maffe, talked about the conflict in the Middle East last week-end, and how it relates to Biblical Prophesy. A local reporter from the Daily Breeze wrote an article about this subject. It pits Pastor Maffe’s view against the view of a Reformed Pastor. Both arguments are valid and [...]

A man arrives at the gates of heaven. St. Peter asks, “Religion?”
The man says, “Methodist.”
St. Peter looks down his list, and says, “Go to room 24, but be very quiet as you pass room 8.”
Another man arrives at the gates of heaven. “Religion?”
“Baptist.”
“Go to room 18, but be very quiet as you pass room 8.”
A [...]

I didn’t have much time this morning at the Farmer’s Market; my wife had a doctor’s appointment which gave me only 45 minutes to check out the fruits and nuts. I found them not quite ripe…
I saw a guy with a professional video camera and wanted to know what show he was shooting. “I [...]

Occasionally, Christians will take me to task because I patronize Starbucks. The question goes something like this: “How can you as a Christian Pastor support such a liberal, homosexual-promoting, Godless business?” I even get emails that encourage boycotting this establishment. I have two very good reasons for buying my coffee at Starbucks… Reason # 1: [...]

Here is a slideshow from when we went to the Redondo Pier to hand out tracts and share our faith. Even though these are a bunch of pics with people talking and smiling; you have to remember that we are talking to strangers about Christ.
And we aren’t giving them the “Jesus loves you and has [...]

This is from Warren Carlson, a bigwig for the Defense Department:
I ran into Kragen Auto Parts for just a second; I only needed one thing and was standing at checkout with no checker in sight. After several minutes of waiting I went looking for someone. I found the checker standing at the back of [...]
