Sudden Death: Marathon!
Top distance runner Ryan Shay died during the U.S. men’s Olympic marathon trials Saturday after collapsing about 5 1/2 miles into the race.
He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital and pronounced dead at 8:46 a.m.. He was 28.

Can’t say for sure, but I think I was acquainted with his big sister when I tried to run track & cross country at Michigan State.

Wow, that’s really sad. I was reading up on all the news on him. Death can come at any moment, not even the fittest are immune.
