A 22-year-old man died Sunday after the homemade soapbox car he was racing down a street spun out of control and crashed into a sports utility vehicle, police said.

Rescuers continued to search Tuesday for James Jun Hee Goh, who was swept out to sea off the coast of Palos Verdes over the weekend. 23-year-old Goh was walking along the rocks on the beach shore Sunday when a wave hit him and two companions. Goh’s friends escaped, but he was pulled into the ocean.
